NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Norwood Police say the discovery of bomb-making materials found in a storage unit over the weekend has been linked to a case from 2006.
The discovery of suspicious chemicals, devices and manuals for making explosive devices was made Sunday morning while someone was cleaning out the storage shed in the 4900 block of Franklin Avenue.
After an investigation by the Norwood Police, Norwood Fire, the Cincinnati Bomb Squad, the FBI and ATF, the items were linked to an incendiary device that was found along Interstate 71 in Norwood in November of 2006. That incident resulted in I-71 being shut down for eight hours.
The case is closed because the previous owner of the storage bin is deceased and no other individuals are tied to either case.
