HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones has announced the county's second major drug bust in 10 days.

Jones says the more recent bust resulted in the arrest of one person, Mario Aguilar, 30, and the seizure of over 250 pounds of marijuana.

On Oct. 11, Butler County officials announced the arrest of two people and the seizure of 268 pounds of pot.

"It's coming from the drug cartel in Mexico, to Texas and into the state of Ohio and Butler County," said Sheriff Jones. "I want to personally thank the drug cartel from shipping me their marijuana. It's going to be put to good use. We are going to put people in jail."

All three suspects have been charged with drug possession a second degree felony. They all face a mandatory eight years in prison. And the 500 pounds of marijuana seized is worth $500,000.
