CINCINNATI (FOX 19) -- Bengals defensive end Jonathan Fanene is expected back against Atlanta this weekend. Fanene injured his hamstring in the season opener at New England.
Expected back after a two week absence is rookie wide receiver Jordan Shipley. He suffered a concussion and shoulder injury against Cleveland Oct. 3 in an end zone hit. At a press conference Wednesday head coach Marvin Lewis said Shipley was kept out of the Tampa Bay game as a precaution to give his shoulder another week to heal, even though he was cleared to play for the head injury.
The Bengals and Falcons kick-off a 1 p.m. Oct. 24.
