BIG EAST men's basketball Media Day, UC picked to finish 12th in the conference

NEW YORK (FOX 19) -- The BIG EAST conference hosts men's basketball Media Day. The coaches vote on pre-season all-conference honors and rank how they believe the teams will finish for the 2010-11 season.

At the top, Pittsburgh, with Villanova, Syracuse, Georgetown and West Virginia rounding out the top five.

UC ranks 12th of 16 teams in the conference. Last season, the Bearcats finished in the conference tied for 11th.

Senior forward Yancy Gates was named to the 2010-11 Preseason All-BIG EAST honorable mention team.
