HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A juror has been dismissed from the sentencing hearings of a Bond Hill man convicted last week of killing a local attorney as well as a witness to her murder.

The juror, citing personal reasons that led to the judge dismissing her, will be replaced by an alternate in the jury. Reportedly, the juror will be visiting a family member about to have a major surgery.

Calvin McKelton, who goes by the nickname "C-Murder," was found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend Margaret Allen.

He strangled her in 2008, and last year he killed a witness to her murder. Germaine Evans told friends he was there when McKelton killed Allen.

Butler County prosecutors are pushing for the death penalty.

The same jury that convicted McKelton will decide if he will get the death penalty or life in prison.

McKelton took the stand Thursday, pleading for mercy from the jury.
