CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Stanley Ivery stood in front of a Hamilton County judge this morning on charges of aggravated vehicle homicide, involuntary manslaughter and inducing panic relating to a fatal crash on I-71.
He entered a not guilty plea and bond was set at 50,000 dollars.
Police say Ivey was operating his Ford Mustang at an extreme rate of speed on Oct. 4 when he drove into the left shoulder and hit and killed James Lester, of Loveland. Lester was tending to his disabled car on southbound I-71 near the Ronald Reagan Highway. Upon impact, Lester's car burst into flames.
Ivey is from Louisville, Ohio.
He has been hospitalized since the accident.
