Bengals lose to Atlanta

ATLANTA (FOX19) - The Bengals blew a chance for a major comeback Sunday, losing to the Atlanta Falcons 39-32 in Atlanta.

The Bengals came back from a 21 point deficit to within 1 point of the Atlanta Falcons, trailing by 25 to 24 after falling behind 24-3. Then Cincinnati let that lead balloon to a 2-touchdown, 39-24 gap. When it was over, the Falcons won by a touchdown, beating the Bengals 39-32.

The Bengals' defense may have been hampered by having to start the game without Roy Williams and Johnathan Joseph, who were out with injuries.

The Bengals scored with fewer than two minutes to go on a touchdown to Chad Johnson. They were able to get the ball back with under a minute left, but a Palmer lost any chance to make a desperation pass when he was sacked within the ten-yard-line to finish the game.
