CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Cincinnati Metro announced that Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg is sponsoring the new Route 1 which will connect community arts, parks, museums and other events.
The Route has been dubbed "The One for Fun" since it will have stops the arts and entertainment venues.
The new service will begin on December 5th.
New 30-foot hybrid buses, funded by federal stimulus dollars, will be distinctly branded to represent arts and entertainment venues along the route. The back of each bus will feature advertising for Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg.
"As part of the Cincinnati business community, Hollywood sees this partnership with Metro as an opportunity to connect residents and visitors to some of Cincinnati's best attractions," said Tony Rodio, Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg General Manager. "We're among the top attractions in the metropolitan region, so we realize the importance of just getting people out there, actively supporting the businesses that are there for them - this effort achieves that goal - and through a simple bus ride."
Fares for the One for Fun route is $1.75. The new route will operate service every 30 minutes from 6a.m. to 7p.m. seven days a week.
