Maker's Mark names Rob Samuels Chief Operating Officer

LORETTO, KY (FOX19) -- Rob Samuels is named COO for the world's oldest operating bourbon distillery and National Historic Landmark.

Samuels will also serve as General Manager of the maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto. He previously served as the Director of Global Brand Development for Maker's Mark and will assume his position immediately.The announcement was made by his father, Bill Samuels, the President of Maker's Mark.

Rob Samuels is the grandson of Founder Bill Samuels Sr., and the eighth generation to continue the tradition of Bourbon making since it began in Kentucky by his namesake in 1784. Rob learned about Maker's mark from his grandparents, Bill Sr. and Marge, and worked every job at the distillery.
