GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A man is facing several charges after he was caught burglarizing a home in Green Township, then was chased by police and Tased.
Ronnie Reed Jr., 37, is charged with burglary, possession of criminal tools and resisting arrest.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress on Emerald Lakes Drive Monday evening.
A citizen heard breaking glass and observed a beam from a flashlight inside the residence. An officer observed a broken window and unsecured door and entered the residence, where he found Reed and ordered him to stop.
Police say Reed refused to comply with the order and dove out the broken window. The deputy repeatedly ordered Reed to stop; however, Reed continued to run and, as he reached the sidewalk, the deputy deployed his taser. Reed fell to the ground and was taken into custody.
Reed was in possession of a screwdriver, gloves, and a flashlight, he admitted to using the screwdriver to help force entry into the residence.
Reed was transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
