Police investigate string of robberies

AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a rash of overnight robberies in Avondale.

The United Dairy Farmers on Burnett Avenue was robbed around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Police say a man talking on a cell phone entered the store and pointed a gun at the clerk, then took off with cash from the register. No one was hurt, but the clerk was pretty shaken up.

At least two street robberies were also reported in the area. The first happened around midnight and involved one suspect who targeting someone walking in the area.

The second street robbery was about 10 minutes later, and police say three suspects were involved in this case.

Police aren't saying if all of the incidents are connected, but are investigating that possibility.

    Police say the theft happened between 10 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday.
