CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – Leaders of the organization COAST are accusing Cincinnati Public Schools of partisan politics with students and staff members.
On Thursday, COAST presented flyers supporting Ohio Governor Ted Strickland that were shoved into mailboxes of staff members at North Avondale Montessori School, pushing Democratic ideas and candidates.
According to agreements with unions and COAST, both sides are given opportunities to pass out political information, but CPS says COAST never took the opportunity to pass out its own literature.
The group also is pursing legal action against CPS claiming students are being indoctrinated to vote democrat. The suit claims students from Hughes High School were taken to the board of elections and giving ballots with only democrat candidates to vote for.
CPS denies the political endorsement forcing to its students, however, will be holding disciplinary hearings for two staff members at Hughes High School as a result of the field trip to the board of elections.
