BURLINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A state prisoner serving two life terms in the killing of a northern Kentucky woman and the stabbing of her mother has pleaded not guilty to additional charges.
Sean Noakes is accused of threatening the family of a man who testified against him in the slaying of Sharon Gette and the wounding of Barbara Rodgers.
The attack occurred in the women's home in Florence in July 2008. The victims and Noakes were neighbors.
A Boone County grand jury indicted Noakes additionally on two counts of retaliating against a witness in a legal process and one count of being a persistent felony offender. He also faces charges of burglary and promoting contraband.
At a hearing on Wednesday, a judge set a February trial on all five remaining charges.
