City firefighters accept pay freeze

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Facing steep budget cuts, Cincinnati firefighters have agreed to a two-year pay freeze.

More than 500 union members out of around 840 firefighters voted this week, and the majority were in favor.

The firefighters will keep their current health care plans and longevity pay.

The pay freeze will help the fire department make a dent in the $11 million in cuts they are facing.
