The Cooper Jaguars ended a promising 2010 campaign with a 29-19 victory over the Newport Wildcats.

Cooper (3-7) enjoyed another big effort from running back Dvontae Bradley. A week after turning out the greatest rushing effort in Northern Kentucky history, the senior put up another 252 yards on 32 carries and scored three times, all in the second half, to help the Jaguars comeback from being down 19-6. Bradley also threw for a 74-yard touchdown in the opening half.

Quarterback Demetri Brown passed for 138 yards and two touchdowns and added another 143 yards on the ground for Newport (5-5) in the loss.

Newport opens up next week on the road in Class 2A playoff action. Cooper, along with Boone County, did not qualify for the 6A playoffs.
