The Moeller Crusaders enjoyed one of their biggest offensive outputs of the season as they picked up a 44-7 win over Cardinal Mooney in Youngstown on Friday Night.

Moeller (7-3, 2-1) netted 490 total yards of offense and put up 30 first-half points in the victory. Senior running back Tucker Skove amassed 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just 14 carries and wide receiver Mardy Madaris added two receiving scores as the Crusaders cruised towards the postseason.

Cardinal Mooney scored the first points of the game on a 60-yard run by running back Roosevelt Griffin at the 9:19 mark in the first quarter, but they would not muster any more points over the next 45 minutes as Moeller played stifling defense. They forced Cardinal Mooney into four turnovers while holding them to 0 yards passing.

The win was double sweet for the Crusaders as they also earned a share of the GCL South title as Elder upset LaSalle at The Pit.

Moeller entered the week fourth in the rankings and appear to have a first-round home playoff game locked up.
