CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -- One person is arrested and another is on the run after a call about shots fired leads to a police chase and crash Saturday afternoon.
Around 2p.m., Cincinnati Police were called to Winton Terrace for a report of an exchange of gunfire from a light blue or silver minivan. Police was able to catch up with a vehicle matching the description and tried to pull the van over, but the driver kept going.
A short chase ensued on Interstate 75, but police lost the suspect on Hopple Street. The minivan was spotted a short time later on Colerain Avenue and crashed on the ramp to eastbound I-74. One of the suspects was taken into custody while another fled the scene on foot. Police believe that suspect is injured.
During the chase, the suspects caused two other accidents. Luckily no one was injured.
Police say they are still investigating the shooting report in Winton Terrace. There are no reports of injuries in that incident.
