Lexington couple to marry in zombie attire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The bridal gown and veil will be black. Flowers will be replaced with dead vines. And on top of the cake there will be tiny skeletons in matching coffins.

Twenty-eight-year-old Candice Webb and 29-year-old Josh Logan will dress as zombies for their wedding next week after winning a contest at Lexington's Scarefest horror and paranormal convention.

They will celebrate their big day with friends, family and hundreds of strangers who can buy tickets to the ceremony and a costume ball that will serve as the reception.

Webb's mother, Cheryle Webb-McCourt, told the Lexington Herald-Leader that she couldn't be more excited for her daughter. In fact, the nontraditional ceremony hasn't given pause to any of Webb's relatives except her grandmother.

Webb-McCourt said the grandmother just wants one picture of Webb without zombie makeup so she can put it up on her wall.
