HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A man nicknamed 'C-Murder' was sentenced to death Tuesday for the murder of his ex-girlfriend and a witness to her killing.
A judge followed the jury's recommendation to give Calvin McKelton the death penalty.
McKelton was convicted last month of murdering his ex-girlfriend, Fairfield attorney Margaret Allen, along with a witness to the crime, Germaine Evans.
McKelton said he was "wrongfully indicted, wrongfully convicted."
Defense attorneys have said they will appeal, saying the jury didn't understand McKelton's lifestyle.
The death sentence was for Evans' murder. The judge gave McKelton 15 years to life in prison for Allen's killing.
