COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Two young girls were injured Wednesday after being struck by a car on their way to school.
It happened just after 7 a.m. at the corner of Pippin Road and West Kemper.
Police the girls, ages 12 and 13, were attempting to cross West Kemper Road from north to south when they were struck by a Pontiac Sunfire driven by Andrea Houp, 29, of Cincinnati.
Houp's vehicle struck both girls in the left front side. Houp immediately stopped after the accident and called 911.
Witnesses tell FOX19 that one of the girls suffered a head wound and the other was knocked unconscious. Both were taken to Children's Hospital and are listed in stable condition.
Houp was not injured. Police say she had a green light and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
