Justin Winters was more than a load for the North College Hill (10-1) defense to handle as Alters' prolific rushing attack found renewed vigor in Round 1 of the playoffs. The senior scored three touchdowns before intermission as the Knights soared out to a 27-6 halftime lead behind their patented ground game that went AWOL a week ago in the season finale against Chaminade-Julienne.
On the night, Winters' would wind up with 1143 yards on the ground as Alter (9-2) starts their quest for a third straight Division IV state title.

North College Hill ends a second straight undefeated regular season with a first round playoff loss. For the Trojans senior class it was a great run going 27-6 and three consecutive post-season appearances. It is not a legacy to leave behind considering the program has only been to the playoffs five times in its history.
Speaking of history, Alter is looking for its fourth straight Regional Championship. They have now won 11 playoff games in a row dating back to November 2009. The Knights will now face Jonathon Alder in a site to be determined next Friday night.
