FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police have arrested a man who they believe was stealing a scrap metal from a construction zone in Franklin Township.
Police were called to investigate two suspicious men loading scrap metal at a construction zone on I-75 near mile marker 39. When Ohio State Highway Patrol members arrived at the scene, the two men attempted to flee. One man did not get away.
Police found several hundred pounds of scrapped steal in the Chevrolet pick-up truck registered to Thomas J. Pennington, 34.
Pennington was arrested and charged with Theft, Possession of Criminal Tools, and Trespassing. He is currently being held at the Warren County Jail on a $11,000 bond.
His partner has not yet been apprehended.
