ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Three teenagers were injured in a crash Thursday morning in Anderson.
It happened around 6:45 a.m. in the 2700 block of Newtown Road.
Police say a Honda Civic operated by a 17-year-old girl was traveling southbound on Newtown Road when she entered into a leftbound curve in the roadway. The driver lost control, causing her vehicle to become vertically displaced in a counter clockwise manner, when the driver attempted to steer left.
The car then went left of center, crossing over the northbound lanes of travel and struck a tree before overturning in the front yard of a residence. Their injuries are not life-threatening.
The driver and one of her 15-year-old passengers were taken to Children's Hospital. Another 15-year-old female was treated at the scene and released.
Police say speed was a factor in the crash, but drugs and alcohol were not.
