Man killed in Anderson crash

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a fatal crash in Anderson Township.

It happened Friday morning just before 7 a.m. in the 3000 block of Newtown Road.

Police say a Ford Escape driven by Gary Glassmeyer, 60, of Cincinnati, was traveling southeast when he attempted to turn right into a private driveway. While making the turn, he traveled off the paved roadway and into the driveway. The vehicle then maneuvered straight down a steep embankment on the side of the driveway and into a creek.

Glassmeyer was transported to Anderson-Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the crash.  Mr. Glassmeyer was wearing his seat belt at the time of the incident. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit.
