CORRYVILLE, OH (FOX19) - A 90-day neighborhood blitz in Corryville ended with a ribbon-cutting at a new hotel Tuesday.
The blitz began August 16, 2010. District 4 Police say that as a result of the blitz there has been an overall 15% decrease in crime year–to-date from last year and a 22% reduction in thefts for the same time period.
The blitz ended with a ribbon cutting at the new Hampton Inn and Suites. The hotel is part of the new 24-million dollar Corryville Crossings development.
City leaders goal over the last three months was to reduce crime, blight and building code violations in Corryville.
