WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - The Lakota West Freshman School was on lockdown for a short time Tuesday afternoon after a suspicious man was spotted near the campus.
Shelley Hilderbrand, assistant principal at the school, notified parents with this e-mail statement:
"We were advised by the WCPD to go into external lockdown, as they tracked down and arrested a person of suspicion in the vicinity. We did go into external lockdown, however learning still occurred in the classrooms. I send this e-mail to you because I feel it is important to keep an open line of communication going between our buildings and our parents."
