Police chase begins in Milford; ends in East Walnut Hills

MILFORD, OH (FOX19) - Milford Police arrested a man early Sunday morning after the man led police on a chase that began in Milford and ended in East Walnut Hills.

A Milford Police officer attempted to pull over Aleixandre A. Arantes for a traffic violation at around 3:30 am. Arantes failed to obey the police, and kept on driving on US-50.

Police continued to follow Arantes west on US-50, at one point even deploying stop sticks to attempt to stop the vehicle. The car ran over the stop sticks and tires were deflated, however Arantes continued to drive.

The chase eventually ended near William Howard Taft Rd on US-50.

Aleixandre Arantes was arrested and charged with Possession of Drugs, Failure to Comply with a Lawful Order and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence. He is currently at the Clermont County Jail.
