CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An Evanston grandmother is facing charges after police say her 8-year-old grandson was found wandering alone.

Sylvia Chenault, 61, is charged with child endangerment.

The boy, who has Autism, was found walking along Paul Street Saturday night without shoes and dressed in a T-shirt and shorts. The temperature outside was in the 40's.

Police found Chenault asleep after knocking on several doors. The home was in deplorable condition with no heat.

Police say Chenault is the boy's legal guardian.
