Man accused of assaulting officers during arrest

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton man is facing several charges after police say he hit a woman's car, then fled the scene and refused to be arrested when officers caught up with him.

Joshua Coleman, 34, is charged with three counts of felonious assault, two counts of resisting arrest, OVI and leaving the scene.

According to the arrest report, a woman flagged down an officer and told him Coleman had hit her car and fled.

The officer attempted to pull Coleman over at Gloria and Washington, but he continued westbound on Washington and pulled into a driveway in the 2400 block of Washington.

The officer called for help and Coleman rammed into his police cruiser. Coleman refused to get out of his car and threw punches at two officers, hitting one in the chest and another in the knee.

The officers trying twice to Taser him, but to no avail. He was finally taken into custody when two other officers arrived at the scene.
