You can catch me every weekday morning tracking your weather from 4:30am to 9am on the FOX19 Morning News. I joined the FOX19 team in August of 2007. In September of 2010, my co-host Tracey Johnson and I launched the FOX19 News Morning Xtra at 9am. So at 8:30am everyday I take off my weather hat and put on my news anchor / co-host hat. When I tell people I wake up at 2:45am in order to be on the air by 4:30am they often ask me, am I crazy? However, I am a morning person I want make sure that our community knows what to expect before stepping out the front door. The only bad thing is that I often have to call it a early night. I currently call Covington home, after spending my first 2 years in town, living in Mt. Adams. I love our cities park system and variety of fantastic restaurants. I am a bit of a "food snob" and when I find a place I like I never forget it, my waist line is starting to show it to!!!
I am a member of National Weather Association and I have earned the Seal of Approval by the American Meteorological Society. Before coming to FOX19 I spent almost 7 years working at WFMJ the NBC station in Youngstown, Ohio. I was the weekday morning and noon weather forecaster. While in Youngstown we were honored with the Ohio Associated Press Award for Outstanding Weather Operation two years in a row. I also spent a year forecasting for WTAP the NBC station in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Actually I just realized my entire career has taken place in cities that basically lay on Ohio's borders. While in college I also worked behind the camera at stations in Huntington, West Virginia and Cleveland.
I graduated from Youngstown State University and I have completed course work in meteorology from Mississippi State University.
I come from an Italian family and I have two younger brothers so I guess that makes me the responsible older brother. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio so I will not have a Browns vs. Bengals conversation, so I will just say I am a Ohio State fan!!! I do love our Reds though!!
I am involved with Cincinnati's charitable organizations from working with the American Heart Association, our yearly Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics, and recently became involved with A Kid Again. I am also a big supporter of local food banks efforts to help feed those who need an extra hand. I also enjoy educating school kids about the weather.. If you have a weather question or just want to say hi please feel free to stop me on the street or drop me an e-mail at fmarzullo@fox19.com. Thanks for making FOX19 your choice for local news, weather, and sports.
Sunny Skies
