Two area dentists sentenced to jail for tax evasion

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Two area dentists were sentenced to twelve months in jail Monday following guilty pleas to conspiracy and tax evasion charges.

The two were Bradley C. Brennecke of Pleasant Plain and operator of Goshen Family Dentistry Ltd. in Goshen, Ohio and Bruce A. Mrusek of Maineville and owner of operator of Wilmington Dental Management Services in Wilmington, Ohio.

According to court documents and testimony, Brennecke 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Additional court documents allege that Brennecke transferred title of his house to his wife to conceal it from the IRS, sent the government bogus documents that purported to pay his tax liabilities and filed false tax returns.

Mrusek, according to court documents and testimony, evaded his 2002, 2003 and 2004 taxes by transferring his assets to his wife's name, sending bogus documents to the IRS that purported to pay his tax liabilities, using a trust to pay personal expenses and filing false personal tax returns.

In addition to the twelve months in jail, each was also sentenced to three years supervised release following their release from prison.
