Suspect shot by police in Golf Manor

GOLF MANOR, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a shooting involving a officer and a suspect that happened in Golf Manor Saturday, at around 3:00 pm at 6200 block of Fairhurst Ave. in Golf Manor.

Marvin Drakfard, 47, was shot multiple times by an officer after Drakfard alleged resisted arrest and stole the officers taser.

According to police, they attempted to stop a red Ford F-150 truck for failing to use a turn signal. Police said an officer tried to ask for the driver's, Drakfard, driver's license when Drakfard took off.

According to police Drakfard drove until the dead end of Fairhurst and then ran on foot. Police say they caught up with Drakfard and attempted to use a taser to gain control.

Police say that Drakfard resisted arrest, got hold of the taser and started to approach the office with the taser in hand. Police said the officer shot Drakfard.

Drakfard is currently at University Hospital being treated for multiple gun shot wounds. He condition is unknown at this time.

Police blocked off Fairhurst Ave. while they investigated the incident.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Section are investigating.
