CINCINNATI (FOX19) - All Graeter's stores in Northern Kentucky and Lexington will close in four days.
The chain announced that it is ending its relationship with the franchisee that has been operating the four Northern Kentucky stores, along with four in Lexington. The company says they will open new stores in Kentucky, possibly in some of the same locations as the stores being closed.
The Northern Kentucky locations are on Grand Avenue near 471 in Newport, Monmouth Street in Newport, Buttermilk Pike in Ft. Mitchell, and US 42 in Florence.
International Brand Services of Elsmere was operating the Northern Kentucky and Lexington stores.
Graeter's has 14 stores in Southwest Ohio, 15 in other parts of Ohio, and has a number of stores in Louisville and southern Indiana that are run by another franchisee.
The ice cream will still be available in grocery stores that have carried it. Ohio Graeter's locations will accept gift cards sold in Northern Kentucky.
