The 22-year-old victim is a mother of two and says she thought the was going to die. She admits that she lived a life of prostitution and drugs, also says this experience has changed her life.
"He was way stronger than I was, and I didn't want to die, so I just followed by his rules and I did everything he asked me to do so he wouldn't abuse me," she said. "He held me in a closet with handcuffs on my hands and feet and he had a gag in my mouth at all point in time. He'd only feed me every other day."
She says Manis raped her twice a day, except for the first and last day. She says when Manis' landlord showed up to the house to fix the furnace, she saw an opportunity to escape.
"He didn't hog tie me together and he forgot to hammer the closet door shut," she said. "So when I heard him go downstairs and the landlord come in, I hurried up and crawled to the window and jumped out."
She jumped 15 feet to the ground, then ran to a neighbor's house for help.
Friends of Manis say the victim is not telling the truth.
"We know she wasn't held hostage in here, it is all a lie," said Michael Hamilton, a friend of Manis.
But the victim says she lived through a real life horror film.
"This changed my life forever, I will never go back there on the streets, I will never pick up that drug again, and I am very luck to be alive," she said.
Police say Manis is a member of the Aryan Nation, a white supremacist group, and was charged with rape and kidnapping in 1992. For this case, he is charged with 18 counts of rape and one count of kidnapping.
