CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - After several weeks of rumors, Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has confirmed that he is in fact engaged.

Ochocinco was a guest Tuesday on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. When Seacrest asked about the engagement, Ochocinco replied, "Yeah, man, why not? It's time to settle down."

The engagement rumors began when Chad's girlfriend, Evelyn Lozada, posted a photo earlier this month on Twitter of a 10-carat ring.

Ochocinco told Seacrest that the couple is not filming a reality show, which is another rumor that has been circulating. He also added that Lozada will not be taking his last name.

Seacrest also asked Chad about a recently released PETA ad featuring Ochocinco wearing nothing but a strategically-placed football.

"It was partly my idea, it was party PETA's idea, I said, 'why not?'" said Chad.
