CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A man is in police custody after investigators say he raped a patient at University Hospital.

Police say 30-year-old Tishawn Walker climbed into a woman's bed on Saturday and raped her while she was under heavy medication. Both Walker and the woman were on the same floor of the psychiatric department at the hospital.

During Walker's arraignment, his attorney said the sex was consensual, and when the got caught, the woman blamed Walker.

Walker's bond was set at $25,000.

University Hospital President & CEO W. Brian Gibler released the following statement: "This is a very sad and tragic situation and our first and immediate thoughts are with the victim. Once the incident was reported, we took immediate steps to ensure Mr. Walker could not have any further contact with the victim or any other patients on our psychiatric floor. We contacted UC Police immediately, and after the police investigated the matter, Mr. Walker was promptly arrested and transported to the Justice Center. In addition to the police investigation, we have ordered an immediate and thorough review of our safety and security protocols to ensure this never happens again. We acknowledge and accept our responsibility and obligations to provide a safe and secure environment for our patients, and we will take the steps necessary to fulfill those obligations."
