MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Members of the Warren County Drug Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), spent the day executing federal search warrants at Clark Auto Sales in Middletown. Investigators say the center of their investigation is dealership owner Earl Clark.

"It involves a multitude of potential offenses, no one has been charged or indicted at this point. We have seized several items from different locations," said John Burke with the Warren County Drug Task Force.

Those items include 10 motor vehicles and stacks of financial records. ATF agents raided the car dealership and Clark's home in Franklin Township. The raid is a result of a two year investigation.

"We have a conglomeration of local, state, and federal agencies that work in our office," said Burke. "So we do a lot of large upper level cases."

The Warren County Drug Task Force investigates drug related offenses. Burke said the investigation is related to offenses that could be associated with drug trafficking.

"Money laundering, tax evasion and other things that we work on also, that involve drugs but aren't specifically drug trafficking," said Burke.

Burke says all items seized at the dealership will be used as evidence in the case. The case is now in the hands of the U.S. Attorney General's Office to determine whether charges will be filed. Investigators said there is no timeline to when arrests could be made.
