Target cashier accused of giving merchandise to friends

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A cashier at a local Target store is in police custody after investigators say she gave away merchandise to her friends.

Kenyata Williams, 20, is charged with theft.

According to police documents, Williams would have her friends come through her line with merchandise. She would ring up the merchandise, then void it and let them keep it.

She rang up a total of $1,651.43 on four different occasions. She was arrested Thursday night.

Williams worked at the Colerain Township Target on Colerain Avenue. She is being held at the Hamilton County Detention Center.
