WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) - The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) has arrested a sexual predator suspect wanted in Texas.

Russell Patrick, 35, is accused of injuring a child and is also the subject of a child sex crime in Grand Prairie, Texas.

"Protecting the children of our community is a top priority for the U.S. Marshals.  This arrest highlights the difference we can make when local and federal authorities work together on a common goal," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Donnie Ray.

On Thursday, SOFAST received a tip from the U.S. Marshals in Dallas/Fort Worth that Patrick was residing in Wilmington and had been living in various homeless shelters to hide his location.

Task Force Officers located Patrick near Airborne Drive in Wilmington and was arrested without incident.

Patrick was booked into the Clinton County Jail, where he will wait to be extradited to Texas.
