CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Horticulture Society has announced that it plans to cancel the 2011 Cincinnati Flower Show and revamp the event for 2012.
"The Cincinnati Flower Show has been the centerpiece of CHS's ongoing programs, and it has proved exceptionally popular and successful over two decades," said Dr. Frank Welch, CHS board chairman. "We recognize changing demographics and social trends, however, and so to avoid these changes becoming an issue for us, we determined to take a year off to examine how we can reinvent and revitalize what has been a much-loved Cincinnati institution."
The Cincinnati Flower Show has been an annual event for 21 years. It usually takes place in the spring at Symmes Township Park.
