CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)  - City workers and community members in Cincinnati sounded off on Tuesday night on Cincinnati's proposed budget cuts and what those cuts could mean for them.

Hundreds of people packed the Madisonville Recreation Center on Stewart Road to hear the city manager's recommended budget cuts. Milton Dohoney's plan calls for laying off almost 300 police officers and firefighters, as well as cutting a number of services.

Cincinnati is facing a $60-million deficit, and every department is being asked to come up with ways to save money including the police and fire departments.

The budget must be approved by the end of the month.
