CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It was a record-breaking weekend for Redsfest.
More than 21,000 fans showed up at the Duke Energy Center over the weekend to get autographs and meet past and present Reds players, making it the biggest crowd in history. The previous record for the event was 20,165 in 2007.
About 13,000 people came out on Saturday, breaking the records for single day attendance.
"We are delighted with the record-breaking response to Redsfest and appreciative of our fans for their incredible support," said Reds President and CEO Bob Castellini. "I am grateful to our players, coaches, broadcasters and alumni for contributing so much time and giving back to the fans. We are thrilled once again that the proceeds go to the Reds Community Fund and its outreach efforts throughout Reds Country."
Proceeds from Redsfest will benefit the Reds Community Fund.
