Double Chins
Submitted by Grace Neltner
The name for these butter cookies was given by Grace's sister, Lyn, because you cannot stop eating these delicious cookies and they cause double-chins.
Ingredients:
1 cup of salted butter, softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar at medium speed with electric mixer. Mix in vanilla. Gradually add flour, beating thoroughly at low speed.
Shape a level teaspoon of dough into a ball, press down lightly, and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake 17-19 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.
When cookies are cooled, ice with Buttercream Icing. See recipe below.
