Woman sentenced for crash that killed 8-year-old boy

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A woman was sentenced Wednesday for a crash that killed an 8-year-old boy.

Yolanda Washington, 25, will spend 180 days behind bars and will have her license taken away for five years.

Washington hit and killed Devar Johnson, 8, as he was walking home from school in September in East Price Hill.

Washington lost control of her car and ran up on the sidewalk, hitting Johnson.

She was sentenced on charges of vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter, both misdemeanors.
