Three injured after four car accident in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - Aircare was called to a scene in Boone County after three people were injured after a four car accident Thursday.

The Florence Fire Department, along with the Union and Elsmere Fire Departments, responded to the intersection of US-42 and Farmview Dr. at around 5:00 pm.

Police say the accident started when a 16-year-old driving west on US-42 driving a Chevrolet Tahoe side swiped a 2007 Toyota Sienna driven by Angela Miller of Florence, KY. The Tahoe then struck a 2000 Ford Van driven by a John Horton of Florence, KY., it then made contact with a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, causing the Chevrolet Tahoe to roll over onto its top.

62-year-old Sherry Napier, who was a passenger in the Tahoe, was ejected from the vehicle, and suffered a serious head injury. She was taken to University Hospital by AirCare.

Two others were taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth in Florence.

Police are still investigating the incident.
