COLUMBUS, OH (FOX19) – State Representative Peter Beck (R-Mason) today announced that L-3 Communications Nova Engineering, Inc., in Deerfield Township will receive $200,000 from the Rapid Outreach Grant for costs associated with the acquisition of new machinery and equipment. As a result of the project, L-3 will create 60 new, full-time jobs with average hourly wages of $43 and retain 142 existing, full-time jobs.

"I am very pleased that L-3 Communications is able to create and retain jobs in this fashion for the Deerfield Township community," said Beck. "Retaining and creating jobs in this hostile economic environment is critical, and this grant will help 202 Ohioans remain employed during this tough time."

L-3 Communications Nova Engineering, Inc. develops and manufactures state-of-the-art wireless data communication systems. L-3 started in 1989 as a communications and signal processing consulting company and has increased their product offering to include the development and production of wireless communication systems.
