The recipe for the white shrimp sauce (Archbishop Shnurr's favorite) is :
In a medium sized bowl mix:
5-6 tablespoons of horseradish (ready-made or shredded fresh and hard horseradish root)
1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon of Kosher salt
3 cups of fresh heavy whipping cream
Whisk together until thickens with a food processor. Use more whipping cream if it gets too thick.
How to make a decorative ice bowl
In a large stainless steel bowl (14 ½ inches diameter) place a smaller glass bowl (9 inches diameter) in the middle.
Fill the large bowl with water up to the outer edge of the small bowl.
Put a brick in the small bowl or something heavy to hold it in place.
Add theme decorations to the water. eg. Holly, fall leaves, wedding rings, baby shoes, roses or other flowers
Freeze over night.
Take out of freezer and place large bowl in sink and put hot water around the outside of the bowl so the ice will slip out. Also put hot water inside the smaller bowl so it will slip out. At this point your ice bowl will have a hole in the bottom.
Place it back in the large bowl and add water to the bottom.
Freeze it for 1-2 hours or until frozen.
Take out of freezer, place large bowl in sink and put hot water around the outside of the bowl again so your ice bowl will slip out.
Place your ice bowl on a doily (to reduce slippage) on a platter with a lip so melting ice will not drip, and put shrimp inside bowl when ready to serve.
