Bengals sign new Safety

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Bengals have signed new safety Marvin White to the team.

White is a fourth-year NFL player from Texas Christian. White was a 2007 Bengals fourth-round draft choice and played for Cincinnati in 2007-08. He also played with Dallas and Detroit in  2009. He opened 2010 with the Detroit Lions and was waived.

This is White's second stint with the Bengals in the 2010 season. He had originally signed by the Bengals in August but waived in September.

He has 40 career NFL games played with 19 starts, with totals of 124 tackles, one interception, 14 passes defensed and 17 special teams tackles.

Current safety Tom Nelson was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list. The second-year pro played for Cincinnati this season in the last eight games, with six tackles on defense and two on special teams.
