CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Pro-life Christmas billboards are popping up in the Cincinnati area.

Cincinnati Right to Life has posted billboards in five locations, working with an unnamed donor and ChurchAds.net.

"We wanted it to be a message of hope that every person, there birth was valuable and worthwhile," said Paula Westwood of Cincinnati Right To Life.

The billboards feature an ultrasound scan of an unborn baby with a halo, and the caption, "He Came As a Baby... Christmas Starts with Christ."

The billboards appear on Clifton Avenue, McMillan Avenue, Crescentville Road, Red Bank Road and Loveland Madeira Road. They will be up now until 12 days after Christmas.

"This simple illustration emphasizes that Jesus Christ came to the world both human and divine, and in so doing, sanctified the birth process for every person," said Westwood.

ChurchAds.net, a coalition of Christian churches and based in England, began the "Baby Scan Jesus" campaign with posters similar to the billboard.

According to the group's website, "In the 21st century, proud parents-to-be proudly announce the coming birth by showing friends and family the scan of the baby. Our new Baby Scan Jesus poster uses this convention to place the birth of Christ in an ultra-contemporary context."

The billboards first appeared in Milwaukee, Wisc. earlier this month.
