MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Members from the Tried Stone Baptist Church bring gifts and food to those who need in the most. All the toys and other items donated by members of the Middletown community.

"I didn't know where I was going to get gifts from this year, I really didn't," said Jermaine Trammell.

Kathrine Willhoite said, "My kids wouldn't have had anything, we wouldn't have had any food. We are just thankful."

Pastor, Dr. Mitchell Foster Sr. is the man behind the operation.

"Down that alley, you wouldn't find anybody that would go and give those people toys, I'm just being honest," said Foster.  "People say I'm not going down there. So those are the type of people that we reach out to."

Foster says the mission is simple. He wants to make sure every child has a present on Christmas Day and make sure every family has something to eat. He said it's hard to count the number of people in need this year.

"I ran into a little snag and have medical problems, can't work and can't stay on my feet to long," said Trammell.

Willhoite said, "It means a lot to me right now. I've been going through hard times. Just had a new born baby. I called the pastor and he said come on over we have plenty of stuff."

And those in need hope they can lend a helping hand to others in the future.

Trammell said, "A lot of people are struggling right now, try to just give. Give back to everybody if you can because I definitely will when I get on my feet."
